Delta Instrument Technology has been on the forefront of serving Ethiopia’s biggest diagnostic labs along our three core pillars of service: Sales, Maintenance and Training. With our mission of enabling healthcare providers to save lives through technology provision, we have been serving over 100 health institutions across the country. To realize this, we have built a motivated and capable team that works under our business ethos of focusing on our customers and continuously improving our work, all the while doing things immediately, “WEDIYAW”.
Since 2018, we have been working on growing our range of products and portfolio of partners beyond our 20 years of expertise in the diagnostic lab with Beckman Coulter and Medica and have expanded our operation to include specialties such as Oncology (Pathology with MYR, Flow-cytometry with Beckman Coulter LS, and Radiotherapy with Elekta), CSSD (Getinge), Surgery (Anesthesia and Life Support with Getinge, Neurosurgery with Elekta), and others.
We have made our service more accessible to our customers with our new and modern office on the 5th floor of Abyssinia Plaza, at the heart of what could be considered the new business district of Addis Ababa, Bole Medhanialem and have also launched our Experience Center and show room right next door on the 3rd floor of Abyssinia Building. We welcome professional medical societies to visit and use the space we have created for their need.
We are working to be an ISO certified organization by 2023, expanding our services across East and Central Africa.

From our small beginnings 25 years ago, we have grown to be one of the major suppliers of medical technology in Ethiopia. Our humble start was in 1996 G.C, when Ms Yeshewa Nadew and Mr Tefera Tafesse started with a goal to address the growing need for medical equipment in Ethiopia.
The company took off quickly and it was able to sign exclusive representation with leading international companies in lab equipment manufacturing such as Beckman Coulter, Medica Corporation.
Currently, Delta has a growing number of reliable and recognized manufacturers that it represents, and covers a wide and growing range of instruments and laboratory supplies which are used in various laboratory and hospital departments such as in Pathology, Clinical Chemistry and Electrolytes, Immunoassay, Hematology, Microbiology, Coagulation, Hemodialysis. We currently have a thriving work relationship with some of the leading industry brands in the world such as, Beckman Coulter, Leica Biosystems, Elekta, Stago, ESCO, Getinge and Medica Corporation.
Nationwide, Delta Instrument Technology PLC works with over 100 private health care institutes, and with more than 28 large volume government hospitals across the country which are primarily operated under their respective medical colleges and universities. Tikur Anbessa (Black Lion) Specialized Hospital
Black Lion Hospital (Tikur Anbessa in Amharic) is Ethiopia’s largest general public hospital in the country. The faculty is the oldest and the largest among the health training institutions in the country, staffed with the most senior specialists. The hospital provides a tertiary level referral treatment and is open 24 hours for emergency services. Black Lion hospital offers diagnosis and treatment for approximately 370,000- 400,000 patients a year. The hospital has 800 beds, with 130 specialists, 50 non-teaching doctors. The emergency department sees around 80,000 patients a year.
Delta Instrument technology has been a dedicated supplier for Tikur anbessa specialized hospital for a long time, and has a variety of products for an effective in-vitro Diagnostics, including Beckman Coulter’s DxH 800 Heamatology Analyzer, DxC AU 700 Chemistry analyzer and DxI 800 Immunoassay analyzer.
Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI)
The Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) is the result of the merger in April 1995 of the former National Research Institute of Health (NRIH), the Ethiopian Nutrition Institute (ENI) and the Department of Traditional medicine (DTM) of the Ministry of Health. The mission for Ethiopian Public Health Institute is to improve the health of the general public of Ethiopia through undertaking research on priority health and nutrition issues for evidence-based information utilization and technology transfer; effective public health emergency management; establishing quality laboratory system; and training public health researchers and practitioners for best public health interventions.
EPHI provides different laboratory services like parasitic disease laboratory tests, food parameters laboratory tests and many more. Delta Instrument technology has provided some of the well-known laboratory equipment for the Ethiopian public health institute like Beckman coulter’s haematology analyzer DxH 800.
Bethezatha General Hospital & Advanced Diagnostics Laboratory
Bethezatha is a private limited company established in the year 1996 to provide health care services in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Bethezatha has been the pioneer in providing advanced laboratory services using the latest technology and supported by most qualified laboratory professionals.
Delta instrument technology PLC has been a certified supplier for Betheazata advanced medical laboratory for more than 15 years, Providing advanced and automated laboratory analyzer manufactured by Beckman coulter, for clinical chemistry, immunoassay, and haematology as well as smaller reliable and durable analyzer for Electrolyte and benchtop chemistry, from manufacturer such as Medica Corp U.S.A.
St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical Collage
The St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College in Addis Ababa is the second largest hospital in Ethiopia. The Hospital was built by Emperor Haile Selassie I in 1969 with the help of the German Evangelical Church , and the medical college was formed in 2007. The hospital has 350 beds sees an annual average of 300,000 patients and 1200 clinical and non-clinical staff. There are also over 13 departments in the hospital. Delta instrument technology has built a great relationship with the hospital serving with some of the most advanced lab technologies like Beckman coulters DxH 800 haematology analyzer.

AMIN General Hospital is a health institution established in March, 2012 G.C. Amin General Hospital employs 150 staff with a mission to deliver timely and compassionate medical services 24 hrs. with highest possible standard through the provision of qualified staff, the most appropriate equipment like Beckman coulters Access 2 immunoassay analyzer.

Centrally located in the heart of Addis Ababa, Santé medical center has good reputation in wide range of specialty services, particularly renal medicine. It gives a specialized renal care including dialysis service and urologic procedures integrated with holistic high-quality care for all cases. Arsho Medical Laboratories
The history of Arsho Medical Laboratories extends back to 1972 when the Armenian Dr. Arshavier Terzian, immigrated to Ethiopia and formed the first private medical laboratory practice in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The general services rendered by Arsho Medical Laboratory cover most disciplines of diagnostic Medical laboratory services i.e. Clinical Chemistry, pathology, Histo – and Cytopathology, Microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics, Serology, Virology and voluntary counseling and testing (VCT). The Director of Diagnostic Medical Laboratory, The Quality Assurance Manager and discipline-specific Laboratory professional’s, coordinators, supervise these services and departments.
Currently, Arsho Medical Laboratory is ENAO acknowledged and working for ISO 15189 accreditation.
